Sarah Plant Music

Composer, flutist and keyboardist Sarah Plant scores feature films, documentaries, animations, multimedia, and museum installations. She was Associate Music Director, arranger, and flutist for Ang Lee's Oscar-nominated feature "Eat Drink Man Woman." She has composed for PBS, ITVS, Bravo, Canal+, CBC, Hallmark, TV Ontario, Court TV, the Center for Asian American Media, and for Spanish, Swiss and other European TV.

She has scored nature films for the American Museum of Natural History's Biodiversity Hall and for the museum's "Lizards and Snakes Alive!" exhibit. She also composed a commission for Bill T. Jones Dance Company.

Her compositions range from classical to contemporary styles and draw on sounds from throughout Latin America and the Caribbean to the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe. She has scored Spanish-language films produced in Spain, the Caribbean and Central America.

While favoring acoustic instruments, she has a computerized digital studio synched to picture. She also licenses a growing independent library of her own music.
